What helps put it in perspective is that it&#39;s really just a breakup with legal paperwork behind it. And who in their lives has not been through a breakup? We&#39;re not so different than the other side. Everyone experiences heartache. Another thing people don&#39;t realize is that there is such a barrier to divorce that most people endure an unraveling in their relationship long before they begin to take the steps towards separating. <br /><br />One thing I also like about divorced men is that they understand what it is to try and blend two lives together. <br /><br />I liked your post for its honesty. As a divorced woman with no kids, I cringe when I'm on a date and the subject comes up. Men are always amazed and want way too much information in the beginning. I don't mind sharing my story, but everyone is not worthy of the story. It seems a lot of men are insensitive to that and what all the details on the first date.<BR/><BR/>Now, as a woman that has dated divorced men, I find that I am hesitant solely when it comes to the length of time it has been since they divorced. I am a woman that is seeking a serious relationship. I want to get married and have kids. I don't think I can find that in a man that has only been divorced for less than two years. Regardless of the circumstances of the divorce, it is not likely that he is eyeing me as a potential wife. So I understand the woman's hesitancy.<BR/><BR/>Lastly, let me say that I PREFER a man that is divorced over a man that has never been married.
